Ekpeno Gold Seeks Partnership with Media Houses In Fight Against Social Vices

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Reorientation, Ekpeno Gold has called on media houses in the state to utilize the mechanisms of their coverage to help push advocacies in the fight against social vices.

The Governor's Aide made the call yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit to the management of Comfort FM, Uyo after appearing as studio guest in the programme, 'Transport Yarn' on the same station.

Addressing the management of the radio station, Mr Gold noted that with the immediacy, portability and wide reach of the radio medium, they can serve as veritable tools in the propagation of positive values and the condemnation of the negative ones.

He informed the station that his Social Reorientation Desk was neck deep in the fight against social vices which so far has recorded resounding success, believing that with their support and other radio stations, the campaigns would become more comprehensive.

He went further to intimate his hosts on the ongoing Mkpó Amaa Change Initiative embarked upon by his office and urged members of the public to continue in their support for the Initiative.

In his response, the General Manager of Comfort FM, Eddy Ekpeyong commended the Governor's Aide for the giant strides he has recorded so far since his appointment encouraging him not to take his legs off the gear.

He assured Mr Gold of the Station's support for his ideas and programmes against social vices.

Highpoint of the parley was the presentation of a branded Mkpo Amaa Change TShirt to the station.
