Special Assistants to Cross River State Governor, Prof Ben Ayade under the aegis of Special Assistants Network (SAN) donated thousands of books and writing materials to pupils in schools across the three senatorial districts of the state to mark the 53rd birthday of their boss. 

As Prof Ayade celebrated his birthday on March 2, 2021, the leadership of SAN thought of a unique and impactful way to celebrate their boss and thus tasked themselves of resources to touch the lives of students/pupils in various institutions of learning in the state. 

The learning materials were donated at the Local Government Education Authority Webber, Government Primary School Ekorinim, Government Secondary School Atu, Government Primary School Adiabo, Odukpani. 

The forum of governor's aides took the giant step as led by the chairman and Special Assistant on Entertainment, Effiom 'Trombone' Bassey, with a team comprising of the Special Assistants on Legislative Affairs - Sir Clay Ekpong, Security Intelligence - Mr Santos, Women Affairs (South) - Mrs Gift Okwa, Athletic Development - Okoho Eyo, Agricultural Extension Services, Jabe Bisong. 

In her address on behalf of the team, the Special Assistant to Governor Ayade on Girl Child Development, Flora Eyo charged the young ones to embrace education as the key to a secured future, if they want to be successful like Governor Ben Ayade. She submitted that the importance of education and the need to celebrate their boss for living an examplarary life, forms the basis of the statewide schools tour, to inspire future leaders like Ayade. 

The head teacher of one the schools visited in Calabar, Mrs Asuquo Nse Okon couldn't hold her joy, as she and beneficiaries screamed to the top of her voice in appreciation. The children received the gift items with all pleasure, sang songs to send good wishes to the governor and prayed the state to attain greater heights under his watch.
