14TH February 2017 was a day to remember in Ikot Ekpene the Raffia City as South-South #No1 online Publication Company Xsquad Magazine took the city by storm as it hosted Queens and Kings in its Valentine’s event tagged “FACE OF VALENTINE 2017”.
It
was a night of tears of joy, exciting moment with loved ones and a night of
glamour as visitors trooped in to witness yet another emergence of Queens in
their respective offices.
The
team of the event “Promoting the Beauty Within”, an inspiration from Women
leaders Worldwide who as positively impacted their communities came following
the perspective of many that girls from this part of the country are sorely
involved in Lesbianism, Prostitution and other social vices.
The
event is aimed at promoting the campaign against child labour, child abuse,
child trafficking, lesbianism and prostitution by working hand-in-hand in
partnership with the Government, Cooperate bodies and spirited individuals in
supporting the girl child education from the grass root level.
The event which
was held at Hotel Konokonics, 28 Okop Eto Road, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State,
had Prominent VIPs in attendance, Undisputed Dj J2 on the Wheelz of steel.
Artistes that performed at the event are as follows: Olah Jaey, Mc Calculus as
Official Mc, Mc Gentility as Guests Comedian, Richkid, Mc Super Ice, ResQ and Mc
Funny Machine.
The announcement
of Dorathy Akpan as the Overall Winner (Face of Valentine 2017) by the Chief
Judge, Michael Macaulay got many on a standing Ovation as they all hailed “Face
of Val” “Face of Val” “Face of Val” “Face of Val” as Vivian Richard (Face of
Valentine 2016) stepped out to Crown her (Face of Valentine 2017), while
Abasiubong Akpan took the 2nd Runner Up, followed by Pricillia
Monday 3rd Runner Up.
The 2nd
Runner up Abasiubong Akpan was later crowned a “Miss Photogenic2017” by “Miss
Culture & Tourism (Akwa Ibom State)”, while the 3rd Runner Up
Pricillia Monday was Crowned “Miss Xsquad Magazine 2017”.
